CONVENING IN THE SOUTH

_The 2012 Asian Pacific American Civil Rights Convening in the South will be held on on Sat. - Sun., March 17 - 18, 2012 at The King Center and the Breman Jewish Heritage & Holocaust Museum. The event is hosted by the Asian Pacific American Historical Society, the Japanese American Citizens League – SE Chapter, OCA-Georgia, and the ACLU of Georgia as a means to address APA perspectives in the civil rights movement. The event hopes to bring attention to current civil rights issues that APAs face, with particular emphasis on issues in the South, and result in recommendations for action by the community. Make the most of your time in Atlanta, the birthplace of the American Civil Rights Movement!
